Core De Force Workout Review - Equipment Needed - Does It Work?

Core De Force Workout

Also if you enjoyed this post please give it a like or a share! Thx!

Hey everyone! So Beachbody came out with a new MMA style workout this year! If you remember I did a review on the Les Mils Combat Workout here

Les Mills Combat was & still is a great workout! I will go back to that every once in a while. I have done other MMA style workouts in the past like Tapout XT, and a few classes at the gym!

They are really great to help increase flexibility, something I should prob start up again since my hips are so tight! Anyways.... the new workout from Beachbody is called Core De Force!

Bonus: Hey be sure to download the Core De Force Calendar & The Food Tracker

Beachbody is bringing on Joel Freeman & Jericho McMatthews to bring you an explosive mixed martial arts inspired total body workout! Always nice to see new trainers brought into the business!

This Is A Killer / Fun Workout!

1. I can't make it any clearer than that!

I have done this on and off for about 3 weeks! You are going to get sore! That is a fact! That is also a good thing.

Just when I think or you think you are in shape, when you go and try something that you have not done you are going to get results. I can feel it already and my flexibility has improved!

OK let me break down a few things for you and answer some of the common questions I have been getting about the Core De Force Workout.

Chris Azzari "Fit Dad Chris"

How Long Are The Workouts?

This is a 30 day program, but of course you can do it as many times as you like. I found the first 2 weeks to tough because I was not used to the moves, but now that I have done it more I can flow right into each routine.

That is why I think doing a second round after the first will be beneficial because you will be more comfortable with the moves and more fit so you can really push hard. Or take a break after the 30 days then come back in a month or however you want to do it.

Want To Know How The Workouts Are Structured?

OK so this is what I really like:

Each workout is broken into 3 minute “rounds” just like a real boxing match… just don’t get hit

During those three minutes you will do kick boxing, boxing, and muay thai combos… all body weight moves.

Each round has a cardio spike which kicks up the heart rate and helps BURN FAT!

The Types Of MMA Workouts

So basically you are getting 8 MMA inspired workouts with 2 FREE bonus workouts. Here are the 8 workouts.

MMA SPEED (6 Rounds – 27 Minutes Long):Upper body, boxing core focused workout. Short but a killer

MMA SHRED (9 Rounds – 37 Minutes Long): Top to bottom you are throwing elbows and kicks Muay Thai style!

MMA POWER (12 Rounds – 47 Minutes Long): Fast pace cardio with explosive moves that get your heart rate climbing!

MMA PLYO (12 Rounds – 47 Minutes Long): Put it all together, kicks, punches, plyo and you have a total body calorie burner!

Power Sculpt (9 Rounds – 37 Minutes Long): Interval training explosiveness to build endurance

DYNAMIC STRENGTH (12 Rounds – 47 Minutes Long): Low impact that will really test your core strength and how you can handle body weight moves.

ACTIVE RECOVERY (21 Minutes): Very important! You get stronger when your rest and recover. Do this workout to help your muscles recover and stay flexible.

CORE DE FORCE RELIEF (5 Minutes Long): Quick Stretches. JUST DO IT!!

2 Bonus Workouts: Core Kinetics (16 Minutes Long) & 5 Min Core On The Floor (5 Minutes Long)

Is There A Modifier & Is There Music?

Just like Les Mills Combat there is a modifier and I always love having one. I have followed them for a few rounds here and there.

If you are feeling tired or burning out switch to the modifier routine until you can get back into it or start the next round.

Does Core De Force Need Any Equipment?

NOPE. None.. sorry that is it.. no longer answer here! I would say you should def have underwear on at least for these workouts. It could get messy! 😉 Sorry... had to!

Space Needed: You don't need too much room to do Core De Force, but I would say clear out a decent space maybe 10 feet X 10 feet and you will be

Just make sure you are not on a carpet that will slide, or there is no fine china or other important things you could drop kick around.. been there done that!

What Does It Cost/Where Do I Get It?

It costs around $60 and I know they have FREE SHIPPING going on now. You can also buy some extras when you add it to the cart and all that stuff, but more or less you are rocking and rolling for $60!

Honestly for $60 you get a ton! It is pretty crazy!

Is This MMA Workout Really For Me?

Honestly I don't know. I mean are you looking for something different, something to challenge you, something to give you some awesome results? Then yeah it is probably for you.

If you are on the fence, maybe have bad knees, or some other issues, you could give it a try, follow the modifier and see how it goes. Again like I mentioned above you get 30 days to return it.

Def worth a try right?

One interesting thing is Jericho started helping create this program about 4 months after having a baby. So to all the Moms out there if you are looking to tighten up that core, this is where it is at.

Of course make sure you are medically cleared for that. Trust me I know. My wife had 3 C Sections and I know all about it. Plus once those kids start hitting like 3+ you need to know how to perform a drop kick/round house! Kidding! Totally kidding!

Hey thanks for the review Chris. What about flexibility? I am not very flexible. Just a bit nervous I won’t be able to do that kicks. Thanks!

    • FitDadChris says:

Ha I hear ya there Cesar!! You will def find some challenges in the beginning, but by week 2 I was amazed at how much more flexible I was. Let me know how it goes for you!

  • SarahK says:

This looks great for my tummy, not to mention I might just be able to kick some butt! Have you seen a difference in your abs from the workout?

    • FitDadChris says:

Hey Sarah yea I mean this is a true core workout! Every workout is giving the core a full workout! Getting the abs to show comes down to diet, but you will see an improvement and your core should feel amazing!

  • Josh says:

    Hello,
I saw this workout advertise and I was highly interested in it. I am skeptical because it says no equipment needed so I didn’t feel like the resistance exercises would work my back muscles and my rear shoulders as much. I caused an injury in my shoulders around 8 years ago from focusing on too much pressing and not a lot of pulling to balance out my antagonist muscles. I was curious if you could tell me if there is any back work involved in the program?

    • FitDadChris says:

I mean it is not a focused back workout per say, but you will work your back and everything else. This is more of a full body balance, so it is sort of what you need correct?

  • Macy says:

hey chris i am already quite fit and have been wanting to define muscle – will this do this even though its without weights and is it challenging for non-beginners?!
